Commercial radio in the UK is regulated by Ofcom, which awards licences and ensures that broadcasters meet their responsibilities under the Communications Act. Each local commercial radio station in the UK has obligations in respect of its music and local content which are set out in the station "Format", a document issued by Ofcom. To give you a better understanding of our output and the work we are doing for our local community, the following Public File gives more information about 2CR FM.
2CR FM works to operate within all of the conditions of its licence and the Ofcom Broadcasting Code, which is legally binding. We welcome comments about our output from listeners and advertisers.

2CR FM broadcasts to Bournemouth, Poole, Christchurch, Dorchester, Weymouth, Swanage and the surrounding area on 102.3 FM, online at www.2crfm.co.uk and on the Bournemouth DAB Digital Radio multiplex.

More detailed information about 2CR FM is provided below:
1. News Bulletin Schedule. 2CR FM broadcasts news bulletins on the hour from 0600 to 1900 on weekdays. The bulletins contain a full mix of Dorset, West Hampshire, national and world stories, along with sport, weather and entertainment news. At the weekend, bulletins containing local, national and world news are broadcast on 2CR FM from 0700 to 1300 on Saturdays, and from 0800 to 1300 on Sundays. Additional national bulletins are broadcast from 2200 until 0500, seven days a week. During weekday breakfast hours (0600 - 0900) we also broadcast news headlines at half-past the hour.

5. Information about automated programming on 2CR FM:
In an average week 7.5 hours of 2CR FM's weekday day time programming is automated. None of our programming is automated at the weekend.
6. Information about the daily amount of our local programming on 2CR FM:
2CR FM's weekday daytime programming is produced and presented from our studios in Bournemouth between 0600 and 1000, and between 1400 and 1900. Our weekend programming is produced and presented from Bournemouth between 0800 and 1200 on Saturdays and Sundays.
Outside of these times, our programmes are produced at various studios owned and operated by 2CR FM's parent company GCap Media plc.
